Call for Kurdistan Congress

Dear suffering people of Kurdistan,

Our country is in a period, which is tough but also has hopeful opportunities. We have the chance of being an independent state after USA’s invasion of Iraq and collapse of Saddam Hussein’s regime, a regime which was murderer of Kurds. If we want to benefit from this chance, all our political parties should combine their forces in a Congress regardless of differences in ideologies, beliefs and methods. Such a congress will not only carry on Kurdistan diplomacy internationally and represent her brave nation but also act as a Kurdistan alliance.


Heroes/Heroines of Kurdish Nation,

Such kind of opportunities rarely knock the doors of nations. World War I was an opportunity for Greece, Bulgaria, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and other countries. World War I has been a tool for those countries to be established or to get stronger. During this time we, the Kurds, did the big mistake of moving with the neighboring nations by considering the common religious brotherhood. However they answered our support by treachery: big massacres on Kurdish Nation, rapes against Kurdish women; a unique barbarism on Kurdish Nation. The historical evidence proved us that the correct option for Kurdish Nation is to walk on her path to an independent state instead of living with neighboring nations who are our actual enemies. Almost a century over the World War I, we now have the same opportunity of establishing a state. Kurdish Nation has the opportunity of establishing free Kurdistan in the beginning of 21st century, the opportunity, which was missed in the beginning of 20th Century.


Members of a nation, a nation above all and every compliment,

All those organizations and political parties who claim to be acting on your behalf should combine their forces in order to achieve an independent Kurdistan, which will belong to us. We must give an end to the Kurdish reality of “brakuji”, combine those organizations and political parties and gather them to act with the love of free Kurdistan. Because we established those organizations so we should have the power of gathering them to prove the right of self determination as a result and a necessity of democracy. We must know that “self determination” is a right, which can be practiced by those who have the capability to use it.


Sons and daughter’s of ancient Kurdistan,

Our organizations have lots of excuses for not establishing a unity. No organization has the right to delay Kurdistan’s liberation and independence as Kurdistan is so close to liberation and independence. Kurdish Nation is one of the oldest civilizations of the world and has the right to rule on her lands. No one can avoid unity of Kurdish Nation by using ideology, belief or old angers as excuses. Kurdistan is the Kurdish reality above all ideologies and beliefs.

Kurdistan Congress’s campaign of combining signatures is the common enterprise of Kurds from all organizational backgrounds that support the idea that Kurdish organizations should merge for Kurdistan.

Çilekeş Kürdistan halkı,

Ülkemiz zor ancak ümit vaad eden bir dönemden geçiyor. Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nin Irak’ı işgali ve Kürd katili Saddam rejimini devirmesiyle devlet kurma ve bağımsızlık yönünde tarihi bir fırsat yakalamış durumdayız.. Bu fırsatı doğru sekilde kulanabilmek için ideoloji, inanç ve yöntem farkı gözetmeksizin tüm partilerimizin biraraya gelmesi gerekmektedir. Tüm Kürdistan’ın ve yiğit Kürd milletinin uluslararası arenada temsilini sağlayacak ve diplomasisini yürütecek böylesi bir kongre aynı zamanda bir Kürdistan ittifakı olacaktır.


Kürd milletinin yiğit evlatları,

Tarihte milletlerin önüne böylesi fırsatların geldiği nadirdir. I. Dünya Savaşı bir talih kuşu olarak Yunanistan, Bulgaristan, Suriye, Irak, Suriye, Suudi Arabistan ve diğer ülkelerin kuruluşlarına ve güçlenmelerine vesile oldu. O dönem din kardeşliği gereği bu fırsatı teperek ülkemizin bölünmesine seyirci kalıp bizi arkadan hançerleyeceklerini tahmin edemediğimiz Türklerle hareket ettik. Tarih bize gösterdiki doğru olan Kürd milletinin kendi yolunu ayırmasıymış. Tam yüz yıl sonra bu şans tekrar yüzümüze güldü. 20. yüzyılın başında kaçırdığımız Kürd Milleti’nin özgür Kürdistanı’nı kurma hayalini 21. yüzyılın başında yakalamış durumdayız.


Her türlü övgüye layık Kürt Milleti,

Senin adına hareket ettiğini söyleyen her türlü kurum, örgüt ve partiler; Bağımsız ve bize ait bir Kürdistan için biraraya gelmek zorundadır. Adını brakuji koyduğumuz “Kürd’ün Laneti“ne son verip bu yapıları biraraya getirmek ve özgür Kürdistan aşkıyla harekete geçirmek, bu örgütleri kuran biz Kürdlerin görevidir. Kendi kaderimizi ellerimize almak aynı zamanda -ve demokrasi gereği- temsilcilerimizi biraraya getirme iradesini gösterebilmektir. Bilmeliyiz ki kendi kaderini tayin hakkı onu kullanmayı bilen milletlere nasip olan bir haktır.


Kadim Kürdistan’ın onurlu evlatları,

Örgütlerimiz birlik kurmamak için her türlü bahaneyi kullanmaktadırlar. Tarihin kendisiyle yaşıt bir millet ve onun esaret altındaki ülkesi kurtuluşa ve bağımsızlığa bu kadar yakınken kimsenin buna hakkı yoktur. Hiçkimse ideoloji, inanç veya eski düşmanlıklar bahanesi arkasına saklanıp birlikten kaçamaz.
